Dan is not just another DJ and producer. His core specialisms span music, filmmaking and livestream curation with a commitment to synergise his hybrid approach.
Career highlights include interviews with DJ Premier and Derrick May, founding Hoxton FM and presenting to over 100 million listeners at the International Radio Festival with Normski.
Dan is happiest when chronicling his creative journey and the processes utilised by those he respects. Forward Movement was initially set up to go beyond the livestreams of Hoxton FM. It acts as an independent platform for interviews, documentary films and podcasts. It has since evolved into an ideas factory that documents and develops projects into sustainable independent enterprises. Each enterprise has sustainable growth and continued benefit to society at its core.
Videography clients include Ableton, Resident Advisor, Mixmag Japan, Fabric London and Half Baked records. Broadcast partnerships have also been forged with Dommune in Tokyo and Zwart Goud in Amsterdam.
Dan recently launched his own record label Saboteurs Sanctuary to release solo productions made in the Forward Movement studio. Playing at parties across Europe, USA and Asia; Dan has released on Yama Music with LocΓ―c, Pyramid Transmissions with Psi Spy and Subtatic with Tileff. His DJ sets move effortlessly between the house and techno sounds of Detroit and Berlin; through to the deeper, dubby, minimal sounds of London. He is renowned for groovy rhythms and an ever growing music collection accumulated on his travels.
Previously Dan was highly regarded in the business support and start-ups arena. His rapid rise saw him become the youngest ever CEO of a British chamber of commerce at 25 years old. Danβs speciality was developing innovative solutions to facilitate the growth of start-ups and member companies in Richmond upon Thames, London. He was instrumental in delivering many ground breaking initiatives across London before leaving to pursue his lifelong passions in music and filmmaking.
